A while ago I had someone break into my truck through the driver side window; back then I was on very limited finances and had the window replaced for as cheap as I could find, and it shows.
when they replaced the window, the fit was so tight that eventually the handle broke from the force I was exerting to roll the window down and up.
what is it that they screwed up when they installed my window so I can fix it myself and save a buck or two.
I bet the regulator broke and they probably didn't get everything lined up right when they repaired it. I would try a junkyard and get the window and all the hardware, and swap it into your door.
I have 98 with power windows and I replaced regulator because of a charder (sp?) issue. I got a new regulator from the Ford dealer for only $14.00. I would replace regulator with a new one to be safe. They are pop rivited in with very large alum. rivits. You will have drill out the old ones. You will need a cordless drill if you have remove the window in a junkyard. You can get the rivits from NAPA. I also beleive that the window was not installled correctly in the first place.

I have manual windows, so a regulator to me is a gear and a crank (I think).
How do I actually go about removing the window? there's 2 or 3 junkyards around where I live so I'm sure I can find one easily, but finding one's useless if I can't get it out of the vehicle.
