'69 250, temp guage problems

Hey guys, just swapped over to an edelbroch performer intake w/ a 4 bbl carb on the engine, and now the temp guage doesnt work.

We got the intake used. I'm thinking maybe some sensor isnt working right? is it the screw-in plug that is towards the front of the intake manifold that has a throughput coolant line that detects this? if so, could i just swap over the one from the old intake?

THanks Guys

Geoff,

Yes, just swap over the one from the original. Don't forget to put on some thread tape and don't over tighten it.

Good luck,

Yeah i've got this great stuff, its like liquid teflon tape. Just paint it on and screw it in! I'll swap that over asap.

Thanks for the help!!

P.S., my aunt and uncle live in gig harbour. just a useless bit of info.
