Got a 71 F100 with a 302. Have recently replaced starter, fuel pump, hoses, and carb. Still
not getting enough gas and has rough idle - which doesn’t last very long before it dies. Any ideas or suggestions?
Did the 302s use the same 2bbl 2100 carbs as the FE motors? If so, that carburetor looks like it is missing a couple things. I dont see a dash pot or choke pull off. It just looks like a totally different carb. Here is what mine looks like on my 70 with a 360FE.
Was the engine running before you changed the fuel pump, and hoses? IF NOT, Did you check the gas tank for debris/water ? Also check the rubber fuel line that is located under the cab. It could be sucking air.

it had started doing what it is now prior to changing all of that out. I drained the tank and didn’t see any rust and put fresh gas in it. Haven’t checked the fuel line under the cab - will look at that later today. Thanks!
