It has been years since I've maintained a points system, but from the age of 15 in 1972 until about 2000 I ran points operated cars and never once had a condenser fail. It seems like a thing now! Where are these things made anyway? Simple fix but not simple to diagnose although there is probably a procedure to test them. Good job and good idea to carry a spare.
