My memory is corrupted by too much disco in the 70's. I may be wrong, but there have been oil price wars before. Nothing like Putin and MBS cranking out an excess, with the specific intent of flooding the market at below market rate. Corona virus stopped demand. Everyone at home, not driving, not flying. You have increased production, low price, and no demand. I think that as we get back on the road, gas will go up really high. They will recover their losses out of our pockets.

Guns are like cars. Used gun market isn't that good, unless you have something rare. You might as well keep your gun. From what you describe, traditional holsters will not work for you. Backpack is not a good idea either. Someone grabs the bag and runs, you lose your gun. Someone attacks you, and you won't be able to get to your gun. Put a blanket in your lap like an old lady. Hold the gun in your hand, under the blanket. Then you will be ready at all times. Just don't hit a bump in the road and accidentally shoot yourself.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I am sure it would be a lot cheaper to just keep the gun I have, and take the course with that. The gun has never been fired, unless it was fired during the last 18 months. Not sure yet what I will use to carry in the summer time. However, I am leaning towards another fanny pack, that will fit me of course. I will have to keep an eye out for that inside the pants holster that just slides out with a tug.

Yosemite if I’m not mistaken is a China base company or was bought by , I usually raise beef cows and Hogs , very good reviews and grass fed beef homegrown is no comparison to any feedlot cow sold , just sold my last quarter a few days ago

I agree, nothing like grass fed beef. The streaks are a little tough though.

Out of curiosity, what's the pricing on buying beef or pork from the rancher? What do you charge? Do you sell directly to the end user? Who does the final butchering into market cuts?

I would have to rethink my refrigerator capacity. I don't have a big freezer. So whatever goes in the fridge, I have to eat before it spoils.

If you're buying a portions bigger than roasts or such, you almost need a chest freezer.

Then there's the logistics. How do I literally haul a half a cow home, then butchering on my tailgate on a city sidewalk?

Won't be able to see what I am doing. At the very minimum, in order to carry from the truck up to the apartment building, I need to cut it into primal cuts. I have a reciprocating saw, and a Chinese cleaver like the kind that they use for cutting roast duck and pork. I hope the SawsAll gets through the bones okay.

I hatched a plan. The swing shift doorman is a Filipina woman. She has a litter of anklebiters, each from a different sIre. After 8 , for the last half of the shift, she usually places a break sign on the front desk and sneaks off to hang out in different tenants' apartments - people who give her a little extra tip to watch the place when they go out of town. When she leaves her post, is when I start transporting the meat from the truck. Hopefully, I don't have to carry the meat more than 5 blocks. Then I will stack it all in the lobby 1st, and make separate trips up the elevator.

I have some leftover "English Cut". Came out really well on pizza. Basil oil, tomato, mozzarella. Topped off with prime rib roast.

Rob, $8.00 pound , you get roughly 180 Pd of beef on a 1/2, usually five to six good size boxes full after cut &wrap is done , I fill my 17 cubic freezer full with 1/2 , takes three to 4 years to eat on it , burn through more with the kids and grandkids in the summer BBQ , this time I’m only keeping a 1/4 , That still will be at least two years supply, along with other fish, chicken, and pork , all that goes into a smaller freezer , we don’t shop for beef or Pork , and it’s saved Thousands of dollars by doing our own, if your interested , pm me your number , out of Beef as of Now, but bringing in more top stock along with 6 or7 Hogs .
