No word yet. I received a subpoena regarding the van and if Randy kept it against my will. I called them, and they said I would be on call that day, and to get there within an hour of being called if they need me. I told them I would need at least 90 minutes because I am limited to my electric wheelchair and am not close to the courthouse. She said she would note that, and let the attorney know also. This was before I took the van into the shop. I can get there in half an hour using the van, and since the court date is set for May 29th, my replacement disabled placard should be here by then so I can park in metered parking without having to pay anything. I am thinking the only reason they would need me to testify against him is if he tells them he had my permission to keep it for 5 months. I told him he could use it for a day, not use it for 5 months. I also heard from my daughter, that the detective told her he wants to call me into court regarding how and why Randy got my gun. I have no clue why they want to talk to me, unless they want to charge me with negligence in storing it. I told them everything about the theft in the Police report. Anyway, I am not going to worry about that. I just took the van into the local repair shop, and surprise, surprise, Randy did not replace the radiator with one from a salvage yard like he told me. It is the same radiator, which has a big leak in it. He also did not install the starter correctly, so to have a new radiator installed, and the starter correctly installed is costing me $416. It is a good thing I got the stimulus last week, there is no way I could have afforded to pay for this. It also needs a new oxygen sensor, but that would have raised the bill to $600. It has to be replaced before July as that is when the registration becomes due, and it will need a smog check. But I will have another payment or two on the credit cards by then so I should be able to cover it. I just hope the registration is lower than it was last year because I don't want to have to go back to the check in to cash place to cover it. This stimulus ended that this month. I will have to put the CCW class on hold until I recover from this.
The good news is that Kim Jung Un is alive and well. When it was rumored that he was dead, the stock market went down. You would think it would have the opposite effect.
Bare shelves in the grocery store. Store owners have no control over what ships. But at least we aren't desperate yet. If things get worse, I will have to resort to getting into cars with lonely women in the middle of the night. For now, I still have my dignity.
