I definitely agree with Sky ski, get a hydra oh, you won't regret it. It will open up a whole new world of possibilities for your truck. If you want something easier to install there are the edge products that plug directly into your OBD2 port

An EGT gauge is the single most important gauge that can be installed on our truck.
The fuel pressure provides good to know information and may help identify an issue with the fuel system, but it is not essential. A boost gauge is fun to watch and also provides good to know information, but is not essential.
The EGT gauge provides critical information based on how your truck is running. I in no way shape or form would run a tuner device or chip in my PCM without an EGT gauge. As a matter of fact, several years ago I installed gauges in my truck with a few other fun things and ran it that way for about a month before installing the Hydra I had sitting on my work bench.
Although, my goals and aspirations of efficiency, reliability and longevity for my truck do not line up with some others, so do as you wish sir.
