Question SCT Xcal2 tunes question/etiquette

All.. typically how much to tunes cost(I already have the programmer)? Also what is the etiquette in sharing ones tunes?

You will not be able to "share" tunes most times unless your truck has the same code as the others...

thats what i was getting at...if its same year,model,engine, config,ect... is it something users "shareware"?

So the Superchips Tuner has optional software now?

From what I understand, programmers can only do one program at a time. Typically, a programmer will upload the vehicles stock program and then you can flash the new program to the vehicle. At this point the programmer is locked until such time the stock program is flashed back to the vehicle. This is done for obvious reasons; it is not intended to be used on more than one vehicle simultaneously.

Typically when an SCT tuner exports the tune for use in your XCal2 he'll lock it the serial number on your tuner. You won't be able to share the program, whether or not the tuner gives it do you on disk.

Prices vary... MAP in the tuners is $379.

The only info I gave SCT when I called was the strategy info from the LCD screen. I did not provide him the serial number. Unless they can extrapolate it from the stategy.
