Hey, I own a 2012 F-150 Supercrew 5.0 2wd. A couple days ago my truck threw a code P2243: O2 Sensor Reference Voltage Circuit/Open Bank 1 Sensor 1, I replaced it and then it threw the same code and now an additional code PO135 O2 Heater Circut Bank 1 Sensor 1. So I replaced it again and it still throwing those codes. So I'm at a loss at the moment, any clues to why this could be happening.
It's obviously not a sensor problem. It's a wiring problem. Somewhere between the PCM and the sensor is a damaged wire. You should electrically test the wiring to find the problem.
Ok, how would I go about that w/o taking it to a shop or dealership? I have a multimeter, should I just follow the wiring and look for any abnormalities in the wires, e.g. cuts, frays, connectors etc.
Well, each fault code does have a corresponding diagnostic procedure. Fault codes, in and of themselves, are not meant to determine what is faulty, but rather only serve as a starting point for a diagnostic procedure based on the underlying condition that the code was meant to trigger on.
I'd suggest resetting the codes so you have a blank slate and then operating the engine or the truck until it posts a fault code. Then focus on resolving that fault first. If you have too many accumulated codes, it's hard to correctly decide where to begin. Your screen shot of the scanner shows there are 4 codes and you only shared two of them.
