Very true, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to try something else to make living if one is not currently happy with what he or she is doing.

With that being said, you are correct, I don’t know either of you but for “you“ to stoop to the level of name calling by using said four letter word, that’s the kind of attitude that will keep you from getting a better job and perhaps your current employer has seen the same type of behavior therefore preventing you from advancing.

Think about it.

Have a good evening.

And that’s it. This little argument needs to stop from both of you.

Let's make a little sense out of this and end the racist based rant.

The PO administers a 150 question test. The test is based on word memorization, being able to memorize addresses and pick apart similar addresses as this is what will happen on the street.

Lastly there is a 25 - 50 question section that establishes a profile of one's self. Several questions are asked a couple times in different ways. A typical question might be: Have you ever taken an ink pen from work? There are a series of questions that will ultimately judge one's character based on the answers that he test taker gives at the time. None of this makes a person a liar or a thief.

If you don't score at a minimum somewhere in the mid 80's on this test, you're not getting the job. One's race is not a factor. One's ability to take a test cold, remember what they've seen on previous pages and how one answers on the profile determines most of it. Then veteran status is added to the final score for a maximum of 10 additional points. My final test score with veteran preference added was a 98.

Does any of this mean that a person who doesn't test well would be a horrible letter carrier? No. It's a vehicle that is used to separate the field of applicants and that's it.

Now, let's give this a rest please.

Yeah, well my mail carrier bombed that test then. Constantly my mail and packages are delivered to the same address on the road next to us. The guy that lives there just throws away most of the mail or delivers it months later. He dropped off my moose lodge renewal that was mailed out in february yesterday. Didn't notice it was expired because of the lock down and now instead of a $50 renewal its $75, super. Its do the point i cant use surepost/smartpost because he keeps the packages and claims to never have gotten them. i have to file a claim and wait. I've complained to the postmaster but was told i was a liar lol.

Lockdown in MI is a ****show. Need weed or liquor your good, but if you need anything else its all roped off. Can't ride my motorcycle, can't boat, can't go to your cabin, have any medical need outside of covid, oh well no treatment until they give their blessing or the government deems it an "emergency". Our governor is too busy arguing with the cheeto on twitter or making talk show appearances to do anything useful for her residents. But what does she care, her primary focus is her Vice president candidacy now. Working from home 12-18hrs a day 7 days a week is taking a huge toll on my mental well being, literally not seeing daylight for days will do that to you. Getting daily migraines from staring at a 14' laptop screen all day. Kids bored as hell, weather has not been cooperating so she hasn't been able to play outside much. And best of all my wife is an ER nurse. so to limit the family's exposure she is living in our camper. They are threatening to lay her off but since she got one of the highest seniority they just keep giving her low census. So when she runs out of PTO she won't get paid. Just waiting for May 1st to see how much longer this is going to get extended and see what else is banned.

I don’t know what to say Terry, but hang in there. That’s tough on several levels.
But for your kid’s sake try to be as positive as you can. Here is a good place to rant and get it off your chest.
My son is a firefighter/ paramedic in Florida.
He was exposed to a cv-19 patient and was not informed until after the call. His department quarantined him for 14 days and he didn’t get his test result until his last day of quarantine. It was negative thank goodness but we didn’t know early if he had passed it on to the family. Both kids have immune issues as well, so that’s a concern. Meanwhile his first day back after his quarantine he had 10 more CV calls. So it’s literally like he went right back into the fire. And how long will this last? I leave my phone on when he’s on shift hoping I never get a call. But this is even worse because of the lingering effect. At least after a fire, you know it’s over.
His family is only 35 miles away but we can’t take the chance of going there because of our age and health issues . We at least talk to the kids daily on an Echo Show. Best of luck and stay safe.

She has had a few coworkers get it, which means she had patients and and coworkers in direct contact but so far seems fine. The hospitals won't proactively test them though, employees are cheap to replace. They haven't had any new cases in a bit, just previous cases coming in on bad days. Er is slow, amazing even the drug seekers are staying home lol. They have had a surge in suicide attempts, alcohol related injuries and over doses though since people are not dealing well with this.

It's not going to end anytime soon. the whole shelter in place is just a bandaid to slow it. "stay home, save lives" really is a lie because we can't stop it since its a virus so eventually you will likely get it. IF we are allowed to have some freedoms again it's going to ballon as people interact. Guess we will see what happens. Still isn't any damn toilet paper on the shelves....

There has been so much back and forth. Even the supposed experts are learning on the fly.

How about the Masks are unnecessary and then masks are required. Gloves are worthless, or maybe they can help.

We need to stay locked up until the virus disappears, or it will only disappear when we achieve collective immunity? How’s that going to happen? This is nuts!

Sort of like the definition of insanity.
Just got to do what’s right for your family which includes physical as well as mental health.

The cdc is just pulling stuff out of their *** for what's proper PPE. The hospital my wife works at gives them one mask every two weeks. Normally you had to change them after so many hours or after an exposure or you could get in trouble. But if you bring your own n95 the hospital wants you to sign a release saying if you get it you forfeit any claims for comp lol. They are trying to make them wear the same plastic gown for 12hrs, even if you have had a positive patient. So you are putting any non positive patients are risk. They took away the washable cloth ones because they didn't want to keep the house cleaning staff on.

Slowing it down does save lives. Otherwise you overwhelm the hospitals and end up with something like they had in Italy. NYC was close to critical. Other places in the country have been able to slow it down enough so we don't run out of ICU beds (or any beds for that matter). If you watched 60 minutes Sunday night they had some sobering video where they are doing mass graves and have hundreds of refrigerated trucks to deal with all the bodies.

yeah except your beloved 60 minutes and the rest of the media are selling it as a cure to the situation, which it is not and can not be. Maybe if they would cover the whole truth of the situation like all the people being left to die or suffer without treatment people would get it that there has to be a middle ground met. Locally if you have a cardiac event you get 5 minutes of CPR that's it, then they call TOD. The hospital will not take a patient unless they have been stable for 5+ minutes or they call TOD from the parking lot. Cath lab is not taking 70% of patients due to the new guidelines If you go into respiratory distress oh well, ER can't do any breathing treatments or intubate. Have any onset of sickness, too bad no diagnostic imagine or testing. Need chemo, better hope your treatment was already in progress or it will likely be postponed. Have an emergency surgery, better get on WebMD because there is NO post-op care your on your own. Bodies are stacking up in MI alone from lack of treatment as are the lawsuits but that doesn't get any media attention. I've been waiting 2 weeks for my cardiac medication to get refilled but the office is closed so I get to deal with a resting heart rate in the 140's, anything happens I have 0% chance of living because I will not be treated. I'm sure you don't care because it doesn't affect you but I would like my chance to live. It's going to get even worse when they start laying off ems staff in the next few weeks, better hope uber can get you to the hospital.

NYC has been burying bodies in mass graves for many years. The city owns the whole island the mass graves are at. Stock footage could have been used with the same results.

Please don't minimize this, the burial rate is very high right now and getting higher every week.

How do you get I'm taking anything lightly. I'm just stating a fact. Hart Island has been a mass grave site in NYC for decades. I saw that on the news last week. The media is playing Hart Island burial footage in order to sensationalize the news and work people up.

I'm taking this seriously. I'm home from work, my wife is working from home. We don't go into stores, or anywhere. There are several things I need to buy to fix things around the house, but I'm not going into Lowes or Home Depot where everyone seems to want to go. My BIL has worked at a Home Depot for 20 years. He said even with the lesser amount of people they finally started allowing in the store at a time a week or so ago, last weeks sales at his high volume store set a new record.

People are NOT staying at home, but I am......

Here's a link on Hart Island:

Sensationalize? We've lost 10,000 people here, that's a lot of people! People ARE worked up, we all know someone who is suffering right now. The hospitals are on overload...what I've seen covered is just the tip of what we're experiencing!

Thanks for the link on Hart Island but Long Island Sound has been my playground for 50 years.

I know it's terrible, and NY has had it the worst. I also know if Trump had a cure tomorrow, the media would say he stole it and is making a profit off it. Plus, he and China invented the virus so they could take over everything and then sell the cure. We both know that is the what the media is all about....

I'm through debating this subject.
