promise you, it wasn’t wasted. Saved for later.
We communicate with son and daughter’s families through Echo Show’s daily. Grandkids got a kick out of it— well at least one. The younger was a little unsure at first. 🤣

Good thing it wasn't used before the mask was made!!!
Things have started settling down somewhat around here. We made our weekly grocery run Thursday and it wasn't too crowded at Kroger or Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart didn't have TP when we were there but Kroger did have some though it wasn't a fully stocked shelf. Bread shelves were in pretty good shape this week at both stores. People were polite and respectful of "social distance". The economy will take a hit and it's going to be tough on a lot of people. There is a little light at the end of the proverbial tunnel reading news from China and South Korea. Hang in there America, my Dad's generation made it through the Depression and WW2.
HEB Grocery Store has a much better selection today. I didn't check fuel prices since I had a little over 3/4 tank. However on the way home I saw a 7/11 with gas $1.54 per gallon!! now I wish I hadn't filled it a couple weeks ago at $1.96!
Certain jobs have been lost but others are coming open such as grocery stores, Amazon delivery, food deliver and the USPS is advertising in certain areas.
Yeah. Saw an article yesterday talking about oil at $5 per barrel and how that was going to kill the Canadian oil shale business. Apparently that is the goal of the Russians and the Arabs; drive the US and Canada out of the oil business.

That is definitely true, but they don't pay like the oil & gas sector jobs.
Replacing high paying jobs with low paying jobs is a net loss in tax revenue and the workers standard of living.

I have no doubt that is their goal. At some point, they will have to realize that the US can ramp up oil production faster than almost any other source.
They can knock us down, but we always jump back up. Eventually, they will realize that they will have to just accept us a major player or keep selling oil for nothing.
They will make more money once they stop trying to knock us out of the game.
USPS isn't exactly chump change and offers great benefits, retirement and all the OT that a person could ever want. You can earn shy of $100,000 per year carrying mail.

Actually I believe the fight was between the Arabs & Russia. The Arabs voted to curtail production Due to the global virus and the net slow down of all economies thus keeping the price/barrel up there. The Russians said hell no, so this fight started since the Arabs know that their cost of production is 50% if what it costs Russia they will say UNCLE soon,

Yes, you're right. That is the way it started. Saudi Arabia is kind of the 800 lb gorilla of OPEC, and Russia is not part of OPEC. So it came down to OPEC (not exactly Saudi Arabia, but wink, wink) wanted to curtail production to help support the price of oil. Russia refused, so Saudi Arabia said "We'll show you.", and decided to increase production to put the squeeze on Russia. For the time being, Russia is taking the heat, but we will see. At some point not too far in the future, everyone's strategic reserves are going to be full, and the demand for oil will come to an almost full stop. I think that Saudi Arabia can deal with this longer than Russia, but what do I know. This will be an interesting battle.
As of 2pm Monday, Virginia is under a "Stay at Home" order. Though upon reading it, it appears to be more of a "use social distancing" order. Only the not adhering by social distancing guidelines is a misdemeanor(well, as well as stuff that doesn't apply to me, like colleges/beaches/etc closing), and it sounds like there's no penalty for leaving your house for non essential stuff(like going to a buddy's house). We all at work agree that more of a stay at home order by name, unlike Maryland and a couple other states, which is a true "Stay at home" order.
