Dual fuel tanks were not limited to Crew Cabs. You could get F100/350 Regular & Super Cabs with dual fuel tanks.
Some trucks had an in-cab tank (thru 1977) and aft axle tank, some had a mid-ship and aft axle tanks.

I don't disagree but he is asking about short beds. I personally have never saw a short bed with dual tanks, style side or step side. Not say'n there isn't, just I never have noticed one out there.

Yes you could get dual tanks on a shortbed. Here's pics of one. I'm guessing if you wanted dual tanks on a 8' flareside, one of them would be behind the seat as well https://inventory.gasmonkeygarage.co...d-f150-4x4-swb

I find it's just about impossible to replace either of the dual tanks right now w/o a 1-2 month wait.
I know you were asking whether they came oem on a specific model. Had to chime in with my two cents worth.
