Where I am having issues is how to mount the brake hose to the frame. (not the hard brake line but the flex brake hose from the disk caliper. The original drum brakes used a bulkhead type of fitting, where the outside (wheel side) of the frame, the brake hose would go though and on the inside of the frame, there was a nut to secure the brake hose to the frame. Then you could route your brake line (with a 90deg bend) into this brake hose. But the brake hose was secured to the frame. The brake hoses I have don't seem to mount to the frame anyway, the clips leave it very loose.
I seem to find -3AN bulkhead or 90 deg fittings, but nothing that is 3/8"-24 I.F. bulkhead/though frame fittings.
Am I just making this more difficult then it needs to be? Any pictures on how you routed the brake hose thought the frame to the hard brake line?
Yep the hoses I bought were from a 1975 Camaro but I think the are the same as the link from Speedway you show. They came from the GM calipers and went slightly thru the frame in the original hole that the original drum brake hose goes thru. Then the clips like on the pic that Indy posted goes on the inner side of the frame and holds the hose. Then your steel brake line attaches to the hole fitting from the inside. I Think I may have had to put a slot or something with a file in the hole but can't remember for sure... I know it is in my build thread but it can't remember where exactly. If you need pics let me know.. Pic on page 3 post # 42.. of thread below. Hope it helps...
