Trying to figure out the best location to mount the front brake line hose coming from the frame rail to the caliber. This is on a 56 with a MII. Trying to decide to go thru, under or over the frame rail. Pictures would be great.
Jack this is what I did for mine, I just used a bulkhead fitting and came thru the rail. The hose is factory Mustang ll and fits around the spring perfectly when the wheel is moved in either direction. I since have changed the brake tubing you see to include a loop, just easier to install.
Subscribed....I'd like to see some details on what other have done. I was basically planning to weld a couple of tabs on to the frame. The engine is close to the top of the crossmember, and the steering is directly in front, so I was thinking that I'd install a couple of adel clamps on the back of the crossmember to fasten in the hard part of the line, then route that to the top of the frame. I'm thinking that, in a small way, over the frame will give the lines a little bit of protection from road debris.
Thanks for the picture. I see you are coming from the front with the hose running with the rail. I wasn't sure if the hose came from in front of the wheel or behind.

I came from the front because I'm boxed all the way from near the rad crossmember to almost to my cab mounts and this was where I had access to the brake tubing. I also found that if I came from the back it gave the brake hose a funny bend which I didn't like. Either way will work ...your preference.
