Until we get real world results, what do you folks think the mileage PENALTY is for the Tremor Package, versus comparably equipped non-tremor F250F350?
Forgot to mention that I swapped out the stock wheels and tires for new wheels and 35x12.5 tires. Might have seen 1/2 mpg drop with the wider tires. First 900 miles were with the stock wheels/tires.
Realistically how much difference between the 3.55 and 4.30 axle's mpg? Mainly a daily driver with towing occasionally, not heavy.
Keep reading can't go wrong with the 4.30?????
With the 10 speed transmission there are so many gears for it to choose from. Here are my rpms@ different speeds.
60mph@1600 65mph@1725 70mph@1875 75mph@2000
I'm sure someone can do the math on what it would be turning with the taller gears but 75mph@2000rpm seems totally reasonable. Can't image the taller gears would make that big of a difference. I'm not a big fuel mileage guy so I've never given it much thought. Someone else might make a compelling argument that 100-150 less rpms would make a significant difference in mileage. For me, I'd rather have the gears for towing occasionally than get 3/4 of a mpg better mileage.
I can't say for sure yet on overall mileage but I traded a 2015 Tundra 4x4 that pulled our 8600 lb trailer and it averaged about 7 mpg towing. Just got back from a short trip with the new 2020 XLT Tremor with the 7.3 and it averaged 10 mpg towing the same trailer. Still only have about 600 miles on the truck so average mileage not towing is still to be determined

355 isn’t even available with the 7.3. That’s a 6.7 axle ratio.
I just went and tried to build it. Tremor 7.3 gets 430. Try and swap axle ratio to anything else and it tries to either drop the tremor package or swap to the diesel depending on what ratio your trying to swap to.
