at just over half tank the fuel gauge on the dash will drop and say I don’t have any fuel, the fuel light comes on, and lastly the onboard display goes to full tank and says 499 miles. It then quickly counts down untill my fuel gauge readjusts to slightly below half tank.

With that going on, are you still able to ensure that you don't run it too low? They usually drop pretty rapidly after 1/4.

rough idle

So when i start the truck, 2004 f250 superduty 6.0L, it idles a little rough like its not running on all cylinders and also it blows a little black smoke while idling but the oil temp is really low. HELP hahaha my only way to get to work everyday! has about 104k miles.
