looking for input

run down of the last few weeks. installed a t500 and 100% nozzels. tuned for my 160/80s and was too late to have the reburn for 100s but any who. all the goodies are in my sig.

truck just doesnt have 100% top end and i know its there but something is holding it up. i began having <acronym title="Injection Control Pressure">icp</acronym> issues, truck was slowly starting and then not starting at all. exessive cranking finally killed was was dying and threw a check engine light and started. ran rough like the <acronym title="Injection Control Pressure">icp</acronym> sensor was dead. free reved at a throttle stab and sounded like it had too much <acronym title="Injection Control Pressure">icp</acronym> at idol. was 925psi and 1.41 volts at <acronym title="Injection Control Pressure">icp</acronym> sensor.

checked it on the scanner, <acronym title="Injection Pressure out of range, above or below desired">p1211</acronym> code <acronym title="Injection Control Pressure">icp</acronym> fault. okkkk so i tried 2 <acronym title="Injection Control Pressure">icp</acronym> sensors and no dice, got pissed on a ride back home and gave her a boot. HOLY CRAP, this is the power i knew it had and why i havent seen it!, sadly there was a massive black cloud behind me and it smacked the boost guage since the first time ive owned it faster than i thought it could. wtf? <acronym title="Check Engine Light">CEL</acronym> and all.

diagnosed it as a bad <acronym title="Injection Pressure Regulator">ipr</acronym>, got a new one and no <acronym title="Check Engine Light">CEL</acronym> starts great runs great blah blah. gave it a boot and it pulled exllent again, i was thrilled! got back on it a minute later and was pulling like it did before, up top is skippy and very flat around 3k, falls on its face and 25psi. comes back down to idol and is slightly missing, a quick rev and it goes away.

so what gives, a bad <acronym title="Injection Pressure Regulator">ipr</acronym> does WHAT to the <acronym title="Powertrain Control Module">pcm</acronym>? am i missing a tuning problem here? and when its running "fine" it pulls hard and doesnt really smoke at all, a quick plume and thats it pulls hard to 25psi and falls on its face.

i sent an email to jody, no reply yet. anxiously waiting

damn youtube BLOWS and the sound quality is horendous and you cant even hear the whistle in this but at 35 seconds you can hear exactly what the truckdoes. hits 25psi and falls on its face

I got the 160/100 to and sometimes my truck does about the same thing smokes alot just lacking falls on it's face I got d66 and t500 to I'm curious I know I need a reburn and for some reason my 80 hp Ecom
Tune kills the truck

all the tunes do the same thing. but stock absolutely rips! its probably faster in stock than it is on 5. but the other day stock ran the same just weird idol with CEL and 5 blew it out of the water. like im talking from going to high 14s to high 13s status no joke. it was awesome.

may have found the issue, we will see what i get my chip back from jody. in the mean time ill let you guys suffer!

1211 can be fuel too ...

DTC P1211 indicates that injection control pressure was above or below commanded desired pressure during self test mode.
Possible causes:
incorrect oil or viscosity
poor oil quality
gel fuel/no fuel
low fuel pressure
damaged IPR valve
high-pressure oil system leak
damaged high-pressure oil pump
damaged PCM
You need to watch IPR DC% as it compares to ICP pressures

ehhh i did today, jody made me think we had it. said he live tuned a truck like mine doing the same thing and said these trucks have ablow off in the HPOP and i was hitting that faster than icp could compenstate and tame it so it would dump pressure which is whats it feels like its doing.
got the scanner on there this afternoon and holds 3040psi like a champ. back at square 1....
tried a php chip, did the exact same thing. pulls like a sumbich till 22psi then cuts out and flatlines 22psi and is skippy.

but get this. tried a diablo chip today. TRUCK RIPS, just like my check engine light issue, but runs ok obviously not tuned right but its so much faster but zero smoke so i know its not getting all the fuel it can send.

need to talk to some tuners on this one

oh and ipr was 50 or 52% at 3000psi when jody said it should be 3180. that high for dc??

I run a duty cycle of 40% and like 2600 psi but it does seem like it runs better on the lower settings on the high settings something just Ain't right

Its wide open at 50,.Does it fluctuate ?..

That was the issue I was having with my Map sensor.
Something else to check.

My truck does that crap you are describing minus the black smoke. So I don't think its your mods, since I really don't have many.

I haven't had the luxury to hook my truck to the computer yet though.

Sensors are always that random factor.

Are you at operating temp during this?

I believe jody doesn't allow full power till 180 or 190° on EOT's.

My truck is a dog till it hits 190 with my php tunes.

If you have the aeroforce scan gauge you could compare its boost to your boost gauge
