OK, Thanks! I'll have to check that out, I ran it dry, but it's been a few years. Carb removal is straightforward right? No "gotchas"?

Wow, can't get any better than that, unless that feller will drive out and do it for me. Thanks.

What's your opinion on valve lash adjustment on these?

I have an Onan 5500 Marquis Gold on-board generator that I had the valve adjustment service performed on last year. It was due for it based on hours. I can't say that I noticed any difference.

My hunting partner has two of the Honda EU2000i (not sure on model number) generators. He treats those like a red headed step child. Regular (not using non-Ethanol) fuel, infrequent oil changes, even less frequent servicing and they still run good. At what hours does the manual say to do the valves on the Honda?

Every 200 hours. Yeah, I was skeptical. I know someone who bought one on my recommendation and they beat the **** out of it too. They are reasonably quiet and have clean power. I totally understand why someone would buy an el-cheapo for infrequent use, though for regular operation these are the way to go. I don't care for the droning overnight at a campground.

Wow, I think mine calls for the valve adjustment at double that I think. It's been a while since I looked at how many hours are on my generator.
