I am in the process of registering my truck in Spain. Yesterday, the engineer was at home taking measures, etc.. and asked me for the VIN stamped in the frame rails. I said I don’t think there is such a number stamped there, but I will look for it. He also asked me for some numbers stamped in the engine, but again, and apart from the date code I found, I said I don’t think I could find any other number that relates the motor to the VIN. Do you guys know if there should be a number in the chassis/frames and in the engine I should know.? I am not confident I can find those numbers..
Jason, I am very grateful for your help.
I went out and tried to locate the VIN in the frame rail as explained in the link you gave.....I found it.!! So happy.!!
Thanks so much !!!
For future reference:

Josep,
Great! Glad you found it. Appreciate the thanks but all I did was use the forum search function to find the info others posted. This forum has been invaluable to me in the last year of owning my 77. Awesome group of very helpful people! I bet your truck gets some attention over in Spain!
True Jason, but since English is not my mother language, sometimes you need to know how to post/search, correct words are very important when you try to find things.!
And true again, this forum is full of knowledgeable people that is ready to help, like you.!
Oh yes, I will take very much care of her.! I love Tweety so all my attentions will be with her.!
And very glad too that your VIN numbers were stamped clearly! Many of them were very shallow and hard to see after so many years of dirt and rust and oil.
Yours were very clear and easy to read. Makes life much easier when registering.
