The EGT on #4 has to be over 750* is my experience for passive regen to happen. If less than 750*, there might be some soot burn off but is minimal.

When you have passive regen, your truck might do an active regen at less than 100%. I had then to happen this past monday on the way home from Atlanta. The CTS2 showed soot around 2.85 gr/l and the Exhaust screen showed DPF at 90%. It went into active regen and last approx 15 miles.

I agree, under the right conditions, in my experience when cruising empty a few hundredths gpl will slowly burn off or keep it from building > 550°F on EGT14. However, it doesn't take much to gain it back but a little progress is better than soot building.

While it might be only a 3 to 5% reduction when I'm driving home, it is still a passive regen in my eyes. Granted, it would be much greater while pulling a load. But yes, it does build back up quickly and easily.

I'm trying it, haven't noticed anything yet with unloaded highway driving. EGTs just don't get high enough. They say FBC lowers the combustion temp to about 700-800 degrees (from 1000).

I heard it takes at least 2 bottles. So I don't know where you are with your use. Did you buy a 2 pack?

About passive regen temps, this was from yesterday:

It was at 31.2% when I got on to the expressway. Passively regened to 30.7%.

Reduced down to 30.1%.

Reduced to 29.6% still on expressway.

Off expressway, climbing a hill. It ended back up at 30.1% when I got home.

I don't know if the K100 helps with that or what, but those are the EGT temps I see passive regeneration at.

Perhaps others can chime in with their experience.
I just started using Ford's anti gel and Cetane booster.

Before using the fuel adders, no matter how long I drove at hwy speeds for 30 mins or so, my regen would drop down to just 25%. After 2-3 tanks of using additives, my last regen resulted in getting the DPF down to 8.63%.

Bought the 2-pack. I'm on my 3rd dose. Used this stuff (2 whole bottles) last year and didn't see any results.

Well yesterday, doing 75 on a different road, I noticed it passively regening. I guess 65 (road I normally drive) is just too slow for it to happen.

I have an iDash 1.8 and it has the newest version of firmware (V1.18.2) but it does not have the option of selecting DPF Soot Load Percent (DPF SL). I only have the option for DPF Regen Trigger percentage (DPF RG). Is there a difference between these two?

Yes, the trigger is a "countdown" (or up) to when a regen will be commanded by the truck. I need to update to see if the SL% is there.

I would think it is still an option under emissions for the soot%

That's odd. I'm running version V1.18.1 and I have it. The ignition does have to be running in order to reach the correct page FYI. Make sure the tuner is asleep, start your engine, then navigate where you need to go. I hit the right arrow to enter the menu, followed by gauge selection, then whichever field you want it displayed in, category, emissions, then scroll down to DPF Soot Load %.

I just installed mine today and there is no option to select DPF SL. I screwed up that last post, no idea where I came up with SDP SL or DPR RG. One of those days I guess...

Maybe 18.1 has it but not 18.2 My only DPF choices are Regen Status and Regen Trigger

Like dirt said, I have 1.18.1 also. I checked the website. It's the latest version.
