for those with the snow plow prep package, how is everyday normal driving ? I am looking to buy a 2020 F250 6.2 regular cab which has it, which I will never use. Just don't want to get something that's going to have adverse day to today driving characteristics because of it. Thanks
I've own two almost identical trucks (see signature) and one of the differences was Snow Plow Pkg (5600 lb springs vs 4800 lb). I can definitely tell you there is a ride difference. Is it that great of a difference that I would pass on a truck that has it, probably not. But since I was special ordering, I got my 2019 truck without it. As mentioned, there is a ~3/4 height difference. I installed a 1" level on my 2019.

I have the snow plow package, daily driving 250-300 miles 5 days a week. The ride is not bad at all. This is coming from a 2008 Silverado 3500 dually. I would say it’s substantially smoother riding than my old truck. People were telling me that SFA would be a much rougher ride, I don’t know what they’re talking about haha my old truck rode like a dump truck compared to the 2018 f250.

I ordered my 19 F250, 6.2/4.30 CC short bed 4x4 with snow plow prep. It rides fine. Sits about an inch higher in the front. My friend without the prep on a supercab suddenly wants to do a level on his truck because the slight difference looks better to him.
The 250 with solid axle and snow plow prep rides better than my 07 GMC 2500HD did.
Another thought. If the truck works for you otherwise... lighter duty springs are cheap. If you dont like the ride you can go to softer spring rate coils.

I'm not sure if it was this or a similar post, but I've seen comments equating the ride to that of several mid-2000s pick-ups. Coming from a 2005 F150 I'm curious to see how mine is when I pick up from the dealership next week. Going in I'm obviously not expecting a Cadillac level of smoothness.
I have it in my F-350, but it has ~800 lbs extra on the springs than the 6.2L. At the time, I drove a 5600 and a 5990, both 6.7, and couldn’t tell a diff. I got it for the “factory level kit.”
I have a 2005 F-150 with rancho quick lift loaded struts and E rated LT tires. Ride quality between my two trucks is about the same. New F-150s are in a different category altogether.
