You will need an actual scan tool to get these codes. Those programmers and cheap OBD2 ‘readers’ won’t give you most codes that don’t trigger SES light.

Start here and let us know what codes you get. Often, there will be several codes related to a single issue.

there are a few ways to get the Ford specific codes, many of us use Forscan which is the least expensive option but takes some learning, be sure to go spend some time on their forum learning.

Forscan setup requires some specific hardware to use, this is my recipe that meets their specs.
