Making up a couple front spring hangers for my ‘79, and mine rusted and broke apart so bad it’s impossible to get a couple measurements besides for the frame mounting holes.
What I’d like to know, is the inside space between the tabs where the spring sits in. My bushings are also a little sketchy so I want to make sure I have a good tight fit for the new ones when they arrive. I’m thinking if I have 3.25” of space there should fit fine. But want to be sure.
Other dimension I could use is the space between the leaf and the chassis. So how far stuck off the frame I need the bracket spaced. If I had the truck near me where I’m making the brackets it would make it a lot easier, but I don’t, so maybe someone has a hanger laying around and could take a couple quick measurements. Or if anyone’s built a set feel free to post some pictures.
Again this is all for the front mount of the rear leaf for 3” springs. Thanks
