Make sure that when you go into your dealer you go in with facts. I was able to document that I was getting a 20% loss in fuel economy, also reported performance, vibration, noise and pointed out that is not what I bought. Service writer had them reflash my truck. Didn't work. Next step was to talk to the Service Manager. He suggested he consult with Ford rep. They offered me an extended premium warranty and info that the fix from Ford was coming mid Q1 2004. Be cool, but stand up and make sure you have your facts and a positive mental attitude, They will listen.
SBV45: Exactly. Your truck ran better before and they screwed it up, and you got something for the headache. Everyone involved is better off -- Ford has on record that the flash didn't fly and can now do something about it. And you got a warranty -- right on.
