Also does it help to disconnect the battery to clear the computer of what it has learned and then go through the start procedure and drive it like you stole it or just keep driving it?
There is a section in the owner manual of what to do if you disconnect the battery and have to "relearn".
I can tell you that It gave me my take-off power back and stopped the choking exhaust fumes (running leaner at Idle) and the engine glow plug don't cycle after the 1st start warm-up (thought the dash light went out) and compatibility with universal diagnostic equipment update.

I just received the 03E03 flash. I had received a recall stating that "your vehicle is equipped with an improperly functioning on-board emissions-related diagnostic system that violates california standards and regulations. These regulations also apply in New York, Mass, Maine and Vermont." So far, the flash seems to have not messed anything up.
