2010 4.6 3V dying at slow speeds, erratic idle intermittently. Anyone experienced this?

If the MAF is dirty or faulty ( Mass Air Flow Sensor), then you can have those problems.

Thanks, will look into that, also forgot to state that afterwards, it will spin over excessively before it will start back up. It's my nephew's truck. I used to be a senior master tech until 2007, then I went to work in the Gulf of Mexico, better money less stress, no customer b.s.

excessive cranking could be loss of fuel pressure in the fuel rail when setting overnight...... Possibly leaking off... possibly weak fuel pump... possibly the FPM ( pressure module) is having some trouble... you have a pressure module ?( not sure).

And if the MAF is defective and giving poor air inlet flow numbers............. that might be the extended cranking problem.

MAF usually causes dying on pedal tip in. Also high identical LTFTs when you scan it. Can't hurt to clean it, there is a spray for $6 or so.

Also Throw a fuel pressure gauge on it, see what the numbers are.
