What engine?
I know for a fact that 5.4s don't have an actual fuel pressure regulator, more of a rail pressure sensor. With returnless fuel system, they use the fuel pump duty cycle to maintain rail pressure.

Thanx wbrook, I appreciate the help I ended up buying the repair manual and came to the same general conclusion. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel pump driver module, and she fired right up, actually fired right up after the sensor was replaced, but I checked the module and it wouldn't have been much longer for that to fail (corroded to all hell)!

Hi Jkhuge,
I look up possible causes of P0191:
DTC Definition:
P0191 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Possible Causes:
- High fuel pressure
- Low fuel pressure
- Damaged FRP sensor
- Excessive resistance in the circuit
- Low or no fuel
- Wiring harness connector of the fuel pressure sensor
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
- Vacuum leaks
- Fuel

I'm having issues with this P0191 code on my 2005 ford f150 lariat 5.4

Dealership changed throttle body, and it did nothing. New fuel pressure sensor didn't fix either. The FPDM is in good shape.

Ford has had the truck for 2 weeks now and still have no answers. Nothing but the 700$ they charged me for the throtttle body replacement, that did nothing.
