transmission swap
i have a 1996 ford f150 4x4 a few months ago while i was out cutting firewood i lost ever6 gear except reverse and 4 low first gear.. every thing was working good on my drive out my spot. on my way back to the highway i stopped to take it out of 4 wheel drive and i had forward gears so i tried 4 high nothing worked so went to 4 low all the wat6 to first hear before it would move. had to drive home that way except that it would shift up to 2nd but could not pusj it because it slip and i had to stop to get back into 1st. the od light jad been blinking for months. so i have 2 questions first could rhis be a tq problem or tranny and second willa e4od out of a 97 expedition work in my truck

No, it isn't the torque converter.
If your truck has an E4OD and the one from the Expedition is a 4x4, then the trans will fit. Will a a new trans fix your problem? Maybe, maybe not. It depends what's wrong now causing your problem. It may be something outside of the transmission. Reading the codes would answer that.
