6 years ago I had both sides professionally done at a body shop. Had the money at the time and wanted it taken care of. I refused to get mud flaps because I hate how they look and now I'm paying for it. I live in New Hampshire with snow and salt.
Right now only the passenger side needs attention. I don't have the money for a body shop to do it. I'm thinking of filling it with bondo then ordering the correct color paint. Never attempted a body repair myself. Any advice or alternate ideas welcomed
I am not sure about the 92-96 trucks but there is a cowl drain on the 87-91 trucks that likes to get full of stuff. I pulled out a small shopping bag worth of leaves dirt and other junk from mine. I had rust in the same spot and I think it was caused more by the damp crap in there versus road salt.
To echo the others, that's not repairable with Bondo, or even welding a patch. New fender, epoxy primer, paint. If you can find an auto paint supplier in your area, they should have primer in a rattle can, not just HVLP paint.
