Been using the Tractor Supply 3/4 inch horse mats for years. If that blows out like someone else said earlier --I'm afraid that the truck along with me will be be with it. I buy the smaller ones and made custom floor liners for the Side by Side. I like em' cause stuff doesn't move around like a portable generator, propane tanks, tools and it let's me sleep comfy in a bivy when way off grid.
Been running the heavy rubber mats for years, some where cut out for GN hitch, a good mat will stay down even when cut out for a hitch, had one cheap thin mat that lifted any time we got over 60 mph, it became a walk mat in the shop.
Really like the Duro Liner we put in our 18, good heavy mat locked into the side panels.
Bumping this up to see if anyone has a response. I would like a bet mat of some sort over the Ford spray liner but usually leave my fifth wheel hitch installed during our travel season. I have a Reese adapter for the puck system and I believe the locking cams are adjustable which would allow me to use a 3/8 inch mat and cut holes for the pucks. I also saw on another post a picture of a BedRug with slots cut out for the pucks. I have a BakFlip Revolver X2 bed cover so wind is not a factor if the hitch is not in place. Again, wondering if anyone has done this.
By the way, MBaldo, what brand adapter plate are you using?
Fishranger.. I'm using the Demco puck system from etrailer.com.
Looking at TrailFX myself as it's currently on sale at AAP (they don't carry DZ for long bed). Quick question: does it have little dimples on the underside like DZ for water drainage, or is it flat bottom? For those that have OEM mat - does it have flat bottom? Thanks guys.
Sorry I never saw your question. The answer is yes the Trail FX has the bumps. I think all the mats designed for this purpose have them.
Its been in several weeks now and I have no complaints.
