If mats are not screwed down, they can blow out of the bed, I had a pretty thick one do that once on the highway. I prefer a sprayed in liner like Rhino liner or Linex. If you don't have the cash, try a DIY kit.

I have never seen rubber mat blow out but have seen bed liners.

I have always liked HEAVY rubber mats. Napa used to get them for me

Bed liner inserts are slick. There may be grippy spray on liners, but I haven't seen them.

Thick rubber mats grip the bed itself really good, and provide good grippyiness to your things.

Easy (but a little heavy) to roll out for a wash.

I've never had one lift much less blow out. If so, it may be a thinner style?

I think I saw some at Northern Tool last time I was there.

I've had a couple of mats (including my current truck) They are best for keeping stuff from sliding (in my experience anyway), and they stay put for me. They do get crap under them, and they don't protect the fenders, sides of the bed or the rails, so for those reasons I prefer a sprayed in liner. But mats are cheaper and the lack of sliding is a big plus.
