Long bed? Short bed? Newbie needs help!

Long bed? Short bed?
Hi all, Just joined this a few momments ago. I sold my 1989 Ranger and just bought a 1995 F150 Supercab. My question. Is it considerd a long bed or short? I want to buy a tonneau cover but I am not sure what sz to order. The bed is 7' long. Also can anyone recommend a good brand of tonneau cover(rollup)? Thanks for all replies... David

If you measured 7 feet from the outside, you have the shortbed. You're supposed to measure the inside of the bed from front to tailgate(up).

That's weird, I measured 7ft INSIDE as well. Shoot, I'll measure again tomorrow but I know my measuring tape wasn't broken before....ha.

I konw this isn't relevant becuase it isn't a SHORT bed, but isn't the 5 1/2' bed also a size?
Try using another measuring tape... mabye yours is one of them special ones for fishing so that your fish is a keeper, or a "big 'un"

Gee, if I measured the inside of my bed, I'd have the super-long bed--it probably measures about 8'6"--the previous owners were a little hard on it, so not only is the tailgate bowed out, but the front of the bed almost touches the cab.
