Anyone running a rubber bed mat in a CCSB without any bed cover? Im just wondering if the wind on the highway makes it flop around. On my 07 GMC 8' bed reg cab my bed mat would get sucked up and flop around violently if I had my cover rolled up.
I have the Ford rubber bed mat in my long bed. It is thick and really heavy, I could hardly lift and drag it up into the bed. No issues with the wind at all.

No, the OEM rubber mats are very heavy. I have one on top of my sprayed in bedliner and love it!
Yeah I have that DeeZee one off Amazon. Had 2 on different trucks, but both under the bedcover. But no problems with them flopping around when the cover it up. Its pretty heavy, CCSB. I even roll it up when putting pallets in and I am pretty strong and I have to put some minor effort into it.
I am going to put plywood in my longbed floor so I can slide pallets in without damaging the truck. The F150 is a little thinner aluminum I read. I damn near put a hole in my 2019 by having something heavy on the floor with the bedmat rolled up.
I may do plywood in both. If you were in Houston I’d let the mat go cheap..
I also agree with the above poster about Tractor Supply horse stall mats. Takes two guys to throw it into the bed and its 4 x 6'. Its 3/4" think and is used a lot for gyms where free weights are tossed around. Chances are if you have worked out in any gym with heavy weights, you've walked on these mats. They do make a thinner style that can be cut to size (3/8" thick) and also quite heavy. Here is my truck which used two mats but its an 8' bed. Cutting this stuff is hard but the results are worth it. I needed it for my truck camper. If the wind picks these up... I'm doomed to be going with it.

Want rubber that stays
Tractor supply Company, Recycled rubber horse mating, very heavy, ain't going no place, really protects your bed. Various thickness, I think I have ½ in, but it comes thicker up to ¾. Just bought 4x8 ft for $42 bucks, last as long as your truck...
They are heavy plus during normal driving the wind really never gets underneath it. I just wouldn’t drive down the highway in reverse with the tailgate removed. 😀
