I'm doing my dummy and standpipe on the driver's side. Should I check the flat washer and bolt next to the stand pipe for a damaged o-ring? And is the o-ring that came in the kit from Ford a replacement for this washer/plate or is it a new ring for the passenger side ICP?
I would research this stuff and find my answer but I'm really busy getting some ten-wheel plow trucks ready for the storm coming up. Trying to get my own 2006 pickup truck past a cold crank hard start issue at the same time and it leaves me zero time. Thank good ness I have a back up ride!
I think this o-ring on the dummy plug might be my problem with oil drain-down? See attachment...
Those dummy plug o-rings definitely looks bad - why aren't you replacing both dummy plugs? They go out more often than standpipes. I haven't a clue what bolt and washer you refer to - is it one of the oil rail bolts? They don't have o-rings. Is it inside the valve cover?
I already replaced the passenger side plug. The plate and bolt I refer to is where the ICP sensor is located on the pass. side, but is covered on the driver's side.
The kit comes with a small screw cap/bolt (looks like the one at the top of the rail but doesn't fit) and a large, thin, green o-ring in addition to the stand pipes and dummies. What are they for?
I pulled my IPR too. The screen is intact and fairly clean, but I may replace the whole valve due to the age of it. It's expensive ($185 - dealer) but I don't want to have to open her up again. I'll have a spare on the shelf if I do.
