Keypad Code
I just purchased a used 2018 F250 Lariat from a Ford dealer 300 miles away. It has an unlock keypad on the door just as my 3 previous
trucks had. Problem is the keypad card w/ security code was not in the trucks manual as I didn't check before leaving the dealer. I called
this dealer and he was going to contact previous owner. Never heard back so called 3 weeks later and they said the owner was going to
check if he had placed it in his safe. Another call and was told they haven't heard anything but I could go to my local Ford dealer and
have it put on the computer. Well that involves making an appointment, dropping my truck off find me a ride then wait for them
to get to it when they have time. And also paying for this service. Does anyone know how one can get the keycode via any other methods.

Call the dealer who sold you the truck and ask them to look up the vin number and tell you the master numbers.
Write the numbers inside the cover of the owner’s manual.
I did this a couple years ago with an Explorer. 5 minute phone call. Very simple.

On two expeditions and 1 explorer.. the code was printed on the outside of the ECM case. The Explorer was in the driver's side passenger rear seat inner fender cover thing.. The expeditions were in the passenger footwell front seat, had to remove the kick panel. I assume the trucks are the same, just need to find the ECM

if you have two keys, you can get the computer to display the code.
also, I don’t know what version of ford sync software you have....but on my 2018, I can change the code in the software menu to what ever I want .

I bought a used F350 without the code for the keypad. All I had to do was go find the ECU with the code stamped on the back. Literally a 2 minute job.

True on Sync 3 but to do this you have to know the factory code.

That only works if the dealer records the number in their DMS. Many do not.
