keypad code

My parents just purchased a 2000 expy xlt. The dealer didn't know the code to the keypad, is there any way to find out this code?

Lay on your back in the drivers floor, with a light, look up under the dash and you should see a box on the right hand side with a 5 digit # that is the master code....

That's right. Also, check out the packet that contains the owner's manual for a white plastic card that lists the numbers.

sometimes they will also be put in the engine compartment so look there also. And as for the dealer not knowing it , well was it a used car dealer? Because any Ford dealer can put it on the computer and get the number for you.

Drivers side, left of the break pedel, up under the dash is where mine was.

You can also program it with your own 5 digit code. Just enter the factory code, followed by the 1-2 button once, then a five digit code of your own. The original factory code will always work regardless what personal code you program in. Follow each step within 5 seconds of each other.
