Those I beams are original to the 1968. They fit 65/70 F100 4X2. Note, no Bumpside came with disc brakes from the factory. Grandpa must have gotten cagey. The pin that came in Ford's king pin set was 6.35" long and had an O.D of .85". I dunno if you need longer pins for your non-factory for 1968 spindles.
You are correct. That is a Dentside spindle. Look on the other side of it for an engineering number. If it is indeed a 73/74 F100 4x2, the right side one should have D3TA3107CD or DD. And the left side marked D3TZ3108CD or DD. If it is from 75/79 F100/150 the right should be marked D5TA3107LA and the left D5TA3108LA.
Thanks JEFFFAFA for the info thus far. I have cleaned the spindles in a savant tank pretty darn good and have no loose rust or scaling on them and can not see any form of number or lettering on any other side. The pictures shown are the only sides with markings.
I will get the copper sleeves pressed out and the treads fixed for the grease caps and order the 73-74 parts to put them back together and hope it works.
