C6 transmission install?
Hello everyone! I have a 1977 F100 2WD with a 400. When I first got the truck which was like a month ago I found out the Damnn thing has no reverse or park. All it does is go forward haha so I purchased a C6 transmission from a junkyard from a 2WD 460! I was wondering if this install is difficult? Does the 460 and 400 use the same torque converter? ALSO!! I dropped the pan from the trans found that the transmission had little to no oil at all and the fluid was PINK not red. Is my radiator bad? Have a blessed Sunday guys.

If you haven't already pulled the old trans, I would add the correct amount of fluid and you may get rev and park back. When I did a fluid change on my C6, I had a similar issue when shifting through the gears to cycle fluid until I had about 8 quarts in. Also, the pan doesn't hold as much fluid as you think....maybe a few quarts? Most is in the torque converter.
