Flex plate bolt ring

Does the C4 flex plate use a reinforcement ring when bolting to the crank shaft? I have what I believe to be a '73 C4 in my '71 Bronco and am installing a 302 from (I believe to be) a '74 Bronco. The engine came with no flywheel or flex plate. I am familiar with flex plates that use a reinforcement ring between the bolts and flex plate (some are part of the flex plate, and some are a separate part). Not familiar with the 302/C4 arrangement. Flex plates I find on line appear to not have the reinforcement ring on them. Is one needed for this combination?
Thanks for wisdom from those who know what I am talking about.

Sorry I do not know the answer. And if you can not get an answer here, you can ask these EB folks. There is a TON of experience on that site. I get a lot of help there myself.
