Horn Pad

I believe the contacts inside my horn pad are broken.
I haven't tried taking it apart yet but the bar itself has no resistance and when connecting the horn it just blares. (PO disconnected the ground plug to the horn)
I'm looking at the master parts catalog and I don't really see anything for this part.
I do see E2AZ-9c888-a but it appears to only be the speed control switches.
I do have the speed control on my horn pad but I think those switches are separate from the horn switch?
If anyone has the catalog I'm looking at page 15456, can't figure out how to copy and paste from it, it seems like it's locked and won't allow it.
It shows other parts to the horn mechanism but they appear to go after the wheel itself. So I don't think I need those?
those parts are 13a823/891 and *3e727 all grouped in as 3600 which I think includes the wheel itself.
guess I can't figure out how to use the parts catalog yet...

EDITED to add I have the 2 spoke wheel

Did your truck originally have speed control? If it did, the horn is wired totally different. If it didn't, but you have a speed control steering wheel on it, that could be your problem.

Originally wired with it. (as far as I can tell, unless the PO installed this horn pad) It appears all (or some) the equipment for speed control are there as well

Catalog can be daunting for "first time users."

I do see E2AZ-9C888-A but it appears to only be the speed control switches.
E2AZ-9C888-A .. Speed Control Switch was only used with 1980/84 dealer installed Speed Control.

This switch clips onto the T/S handle, it's not part of the horn pad.

Upper (lower) pic: Horn pad is basic part number 13A805 .. adding the apropos prefix and suffix from the text gives you the complete part number.

Ford "recycled" this pic, it's actually 1971/77, but the basic part numbers apply to all 1971/96 trucks.

Lower pic: 13A805 applications.

btw: If you're looking for the horn relay, it attaches to the Speed Control amplifier.

Bill, thanks for responding. I don't need the horn relay.
I'm trying to find out if there is a part in the horn pad itself that is user replaceable.
I believe that is where my issue is. But that diagram which was the one I referencing doesn't show any serviceable parts in the pad. besides speed control switch
Something has to be holding the horn "bar" up such as a spring/plastic piece.
Right now my bar just flops and I believe that is why my horn sounds off as soon as I connect it. (at the horn)
It's making contact and nothing is keeping it in the "off/raised" position.
I didn't think that E2AZ-9C888-A was what I was looking for.
I didn't give the prefix's because I don't believe those parts are what I need but maybe they are?
I'll have to check my other column/steering wheel and see if they are there.

.
No horn pad parts available, it's a one piece assembly that includes the Speed Control switch (if so equipped).

I have to leave now, going to see Lawrence of Arabia in a theater. Last time I did this was in 1962.

This is a TCM event...only shown in a few select theaters, one of which is 10 minutes away.

I'll be back around 7PM (PDT).

Nice, no theaters are showing it locally here, I saw it advertised on TCM.
Thanks.
