I might be a little underwhelmed with the torque. Maybe with the 10 speed it will feel stronger.

Looks good. Peaks a bit higher rpm than I guessed. Plenty of grunt way down low. Good times!

Nice flat torque curve that should work great with the new 10 speed, notice the torque at 1500 rpm. I think it was designed with one thing in mind and that's hard work and long life but not racing.

Think I'll reconsider that thought. It's pushing as much or more torque at 1500 RPMs than the 1st version of the 6.2 (405 @ 4500 RPMs).

45 HP and 45 lb-ft over the 6.2L despite an extra 1.1L of displacement. Lame and underwhelming to say the least.

Maybe someone who has the torque curves on the current 6.2l can put a comparison between the 2 so we can have a reference. That will tell the real story.

Lets just hope it was a play by Ford with plenty left on the table so that when GM/Ram up their numbers, a simple reflash will one up them. This is underwhelming IMO, I would have liked to have seen a solid 550 ft lbs tbh

I think the numbers are ok, combined with the 10 speed, it will likely be more than almost anyone will need. Like was said before, there should be room for improvement later on too.

Seems tuned for reliability and longevity. And probably future power bumps too if GM or Ram up their game.

It will be interesting to see how the tuner market responds.

Good suggestion. I couldn't quickly locate a graph for the 2017+ 6.2 but here's the previous generation. The newer one would just be better.

Over 400 ft-lbs for the entire 1500-5000 RPM range. That's outstanding. Who cares what the peak is, or what RPM that happens at?

Nice improvements with the new engine for sure. With that said, glad I pulled the trigger on the 2019 6.2 rather than wait. For my 8000lb trailer, it's more than adequate. I think like others; I was expecting more of a "bar raising" effort from Ford.
