Hello, I'm working on transplanting my 97 4.0l into my B2. I'm in the process of mounting the power distribution box under the hood.
My question is there is a black wire at the end mounted to a cross bar with 2 bolts. The wire is about 1ga. big .
Is it a ground or power I'm asking because I thought I read some where black on some years was hot just checking..
Well I did some meter checking and determined that that black wire was the power wire for the buses on the power distribution box. Thx for that link helpful in the future.
I have this plug with no mate can anyone tell me where it goes. I'm thinking ICM but I can't find it. Thx again

Hello guys I'm back working on my 87 B2 with the 97 Ranger 4.0l transplant. I'm really struggling with the wiring. Sometimes it's hard for me to get across what I'm needing. I'm using the 97 under hood wiring harness which is completely hooked up to the engine , transmission and transfer case. I'm also using the under hood PDB which will power the engine. This is where I'm confused .The PCM is plugged in and hooked to the engine harness with no harness wire break out for power. So how does it get it's power. The PDB has a fuse for + power and a PCM relay power that go to engine connector C124 but from there I'm lost.
Note: I'm using the old B2 wiring for lights and such. I have the B2 ignition switch turning the engine over.
