Went to O’Reillys today to buy a trans filter for my truck. E4OD auto. Was wanting to just order and wait on a Motocraft FT113 but the sales guy recommended the “Power Torque” brand kit that comes with the filter and a black rubber gasket. The kit was $20 bucks.
Question is before I drop the pan and install it I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with this brand or kit?
Does your trans have the thick, reusable gasket? Is the replacement gasket a lot thinner? If you answered yes to both of these questions throw the replacement gasket in the trash where it belongs.

100% agreed. Last night I ended up buying a felpro gasket and motocraft filter for peace of mind.
Shutter stopped from the trans change but I have redo the pan. The felpro cork gasket that wasn’t listed as such in amazon leaked instantly. Putting the power torque brand one in that came with the kit. Wasted day but positive outcome with the shutter stopping.
Power Torque is the house brand and is a re-box of a wix filter. The rubber pan gasket works best if you heat it up and let it lay flat. A heat gun or hair dryer works best for this. Some say that the gasket is too thin but I've had good luck RTVing the gasket to the pan and letting the gasket contact the transmission. Havn't had any issues for a while now.

When you rtv the gasket to the pan do you let it sit overnight before bolting back up? I’d sure hate to do this a 3rd time.
good info on how to get it to lay flat, I’ll hit it with my heat gun to straighten it out first. Thank you.
I lay a bead of RTV (not too thick since you don't want it to get into the transmission) and lay the gasket on top of the RTV and start to install to the transmission. No waiting. After all the bolts are tight I do give it 30 min before filling the transmission
