How much is too expensive? You need a good semi-metallic brake pad. Good pads will be $50-75. DO NOT install ceramic pads or the cheap garbage $15 parts store basic pads.
Motorcaft heavy duty would be my choice. Hawk makes quality stuff, too. PFC (Performance Friction) also makes higher friction compound and are very good.
I just did this to my 2013 (has the same brakes as your 15). Replaced all four rotors, all calipers, all rubber flex lines, all pads and flushed the fluid. Was around $1200 in parts plus five or so hours of my free labor. I had the Motive Products pressure bleeder.
Used Centric premium rotors, found the cheapest place online to buy them which was auto parts warehouse.
Used Motorcraft rebuilt calipers with brackets because they have new pins/bushings/boots, again the cheapest place was auto parts warehouse.
Used Motorcraft Super Duty semi-metallic pads (the ones with the blue backing plates). Amazon was the cheapest.
Used NAPA flex hoses because they had them in stock....I believe the fronts were $40 each and the two rear outer were $15 each.
The misc stuff (two quarts of fluid, can of brake parts cleaner and synthetic caliper lube) I procured from Walmart because, again, they were cheap.
Have had them on for 10k miles now and have been very happy with the setup.
Hawk pads & Frozen Rotors are by far the best pads and rotors I've ever used. I have EBC slotted & dimpled rotors on my Thunderbird, had the EBC Green Stuff pads on it. It squealed so bad that I wound up taking them out and put Motorcraft pads on.
