I am seeing a lot of steering gearbox replacements that don't mention replacing the fluid. My Haynes manual even states to cap off the lines to prevent fluid loss, then top off afterwards. There is no mention of draining and refilling.
What are everyones thoughts on refreshing all the fluid instead of just topping off? I gather it is unnecessary, otherwise the Haynes manual would have spelled that out?
