I did fuel filters, oil change and he blue spring upgrade,
Now I have two codes, 0148 fuel delivery issue, and 528 fan speed issue.
Truck idles fine, but is very rough when trying to accelerate, and when at speed sometimes has a miss.
So, what did i break and where? sounds like the 148 is crank or cam sensor, and the 548 is the cam sensor. Anyone know where i can find the diagram for this? or where to look.
I also keep getting a mouse nest under the turbo. doubt that is the cause, but any ideas on how to stop that as well
Thanks
P0148 means that something is making your engine run faster than the PCM wants it to. OR something is telling the PCM the engine is running faster than it's supposed (whether this is really happening or not). It could be a FICM code or mean that the engine is getting "supplemental fuel".
How is your oil level looking? Sounds like you might have an injector issue. If so, you might be getting fuel in the oil. Any white smoke?
The P0528 might be related to the mouse nest. Check the fan clutch wiring.
I don't follow your statement on the "548 and the cam sensor".
sorry, not 548, the 528. a lot of post talk about it being caused by the cam sensor. or crank sensor. The fan and cam sensors are down in the front of the engine, and curious if there is some way I damaged them when prying down the radiator hose to do the blue spring.
.Oil level is good, no white smoke.
truck starts and idles ok. I will have to let it idle for 10 min, and see if it gets better.
Would bad injectors cause the 148 code? and if needed change all or just the bad ones.
The P0528 isn't going to be related to the cam sensor. Hard to say what might have been affected by "prying on the radiator hose". As posted, check the fan clutch wiring.
I doubt that the P0148 is your cam sensor, but I guess it is conceivable. The issue could be injector related or FICM (or FICM harness) related ... or not even injector related at all. You are going to need to be doing some more testing to narrow down the issue.
What are you reading codes with?
Check the FICM harness for wiring chafes.
If you don't have the tools for an injector contribution test, then you might consider taking it in.
i am using torque pro.i will read the other thread. i just was trying to see if thosse two could be related, both there on the front so assumed i damaged something.
Truck stars and idles fine, but codes come back, oil level is good.
