Door lock mechanical interconnect

Hey everyone,

made my my first rookie mistake at the junk yard looking for all the rods to connect the key lock, the door handle and the inside lock and unlock switch. I forgot to take a picture before taking it all apart. Does anyone have a diagram of a photo that can help me reassemble?

thanks in Advance

I would pull the door card off the other side and duplicate what you see with the parts. Sandy

Door card? Are you British? It’s a door panel here is the US of A.

I agree. Cheat by taking the panel off the other side.

Please, when asking questions, list ALL the pertinent info, we are not mind readers.

Your "About Me" profile says 1983 F250. If this is what you're working on, you are asking this question in the wrong forum.

This is the 1987/96 forum, you want the 1980/86 forum.

Here is the parts catalog pic of the 1980/86 door latch and attaching parts:

Yes. The British show that for the last few seasons has been filming in California. The rest of that comment I don’t get.

I was waiting for the wife to bring me my first cup of coffee. I have no clue what it means but no disrespect I assure you. Sandy. If you were talking about the bonnet, that's what they call the hood on the show.

Bonnet = Hood / Wing = Fender / Boot = Trunk / Saloon = Sedan / Shooting Brake = Station Wagon / Drop Head = Convertible

I apologize. again, new to forums. I'm still learning more about the truck. its a 83 frame with what appears to be a 91 bricknose cab. Looking at the image you posted, i have the manual interior door lock 22168, but not the 21852 type.

22168 latch control and its associated 21852 rod not used after production date 3/1981. So no 1982 and later has them.

Pic is 1980/89, 1990/91 would be the same.

Strange that this truck has the latch control, obviously a lot of work has been done. I was able to get the passenger door together and it works properly. the issue I have now is that I'm missing the rod that comes off the latch control for the drivers side.
