I have an 86' F-250, love the girl. The passenger window is in the down position. I am unable to test anything or replace anything at the moment. We have a rain storm coming amd would love to not moldify my near ideal interior. Is it possible to raise the window without the motor or switch working.
I took the door apart and removed the window motor. Used a board cut to length to hold up the window. That's about the only way with out fixing/replacing parts.
Before going that route, is the window stuck all the way down? If so, try smacking the inside of door while pressing/releasing(on-off-on-off ect, so you will not over heat motor) the up window button. Some times these windows get stuck in the fully down position and the motor is not strong enough to push it back up when the door flexes out. I have the same issue on my 89 F250 and seen this on older trucks too.

This method is too labor intensive, there's a much easier way.
Nylon window roller (23240 in pic) attaches to the end of the window regulator arm (23208), then fits into the window channel (21458) that the glass is adhered to.
Remove the roller, window can be moved up...then braced w/a 2 x 4 or something similar.
In fact, the roller itself may be the problem, because when it breaks, the window falls down to the bottom of the door.
