Driver Window struggling

So many of you will read my other post regarding some old and tired door locks but the driver's window is heading south also. I'm guessing that it can be one of two things: The felt window seals are pressing too hard against the window putting too much strain on the motor/regulator, or the regulator/motor is going bad. My dad has told me that when the window is wet it has no problem going up or down which leads me to believe the gap for the window has become narrowed (from being hit or the like), causing too much strain on the regulator/motor. Any help into this is very appreciated. Thanks!

Roll the window down and spray the side channels with a silicone spray. Also a good idea is to remove the door panel and lube up the regulator with some grease, and when in there, raise up the glass and spray the bottom parts of the glass channels with the said sili spray. Move window up and down several times and you should be set.

My window scrapes on something and is making a vertical line on the outside of the window. Not sure if any of you have that problem but its kind of strange.
