WELDING
Going to be installing custom bumpers front and rear on my '02 Ex and plan on welding the mounts to the frame for added strength. Other than disconnecting the battery any other steps I should take to insure I don't cause any harm to the electronics? Thanks

Battery disconnect should do it.
that said, the way the bumpers bolt on I don’t see how welding them is going to gain you any usable strength.
I have pulled hard enough to stall my 16,000 winch many times and there are no signs of needing any additional strength to the mounts, The bolts themselfs are grade 8 which have a tensile strength of 150,000 pounds per square inch and there’s 8 of them at 1/2” Bottom line, not likely the rest of the truck would survive any impact that would fail the bumper mount bolts.

As a rule, attach your ground clamp near or as close as practical to the burn, on a very clean surface. Lift both + and - cables, so there's no possibility of circulating current. All our vehicles had designated grounding stirrups front and rear.
